Overwatch Guide for Dummies

I thought it was very important to provide those with a quick Overwatch guide. Why on earth are randoms SO bad? because everyone appears to be brain-dead. I simply cannot understand. In all honesty it is not too damn hard to at least be decent in this game.

Zarya is strong as hell.
Figure out how to kill her because I can't.

Symmetra and Torbjorn should only be played on defense.
Why the hell would you ever pick these two characters when you have to Attack? Can someone please enlighten me on how helpful it is for Torbjorn to place his turret behind the payload??????????? Maybe you could do some damage as offense, but it would really not be much. And if you are these characters be smart where you put your turrets as well as teleporters.

Kill Mercy before anyone else.
If the enemy team has a Mercy, and you spot her healing someone, you are going to want to kill her before you kill the other teammates. Why? because 9 times out of 10 you will hear "Helden sterben nicht!" and you will be pissed as hell. She can pretty much make any hero unstoppable while she heals them or gives them damage boost; so if you see a glowing stream of light coming from a hero or hear a woman speaking in German, kill her before it is too late.

Protect your Mercy.
Please for the love of God protect your damn Mercy (or any support) they are essential to the team.

Flanking should be your middle name.

USE HEIGHTS.
FLY. CLIMB WALLS. JUMP AROUND. If you're playing as Pharah and you're not in the air 90% of the time, you're doing it wrong.

Go after snipers.
Snipers are pretty damn good in this game and they can and probably will keep on killing you if no one goes after them.

WE DO NOT NEED 2+ OF THE SAME CHARACTER.
Clearly no one in this game understands the concept of having a "balanced team". Blizzard was nice enough to display what the team needs to achieve balance, but unfortunately many people don't give a f*ck. Please give a f'ck. plshalp.

Be good with at least one player in each class
Having a main is fine, but when someone else happens to pick that hero or your team has "too many snipers" or "no support heroes", you should be flexible enough to switch. Let us not forget this is a team based game. You need your team to win; after all that is the purpose.

Do not all stand around clustered together.
We do not need 6 teammates on the payload. We really only need one. (However, having at least 3 people on it will move the payload quicker) Standing all together like one big happy family on the objective is asking to be wiped out with an ult.
Raining justice on them hoes
Contest the objective.
In order to win, we need to contest the objective. That is a simple ass objective. Do not kill enemy from afar has you see the Overtime bar slowly going down to then have a size 42 font "Defeat" in shadow like dark colors in front of your screen. Even if you think you will die contesting the objective, it really does not matter. Your purpose then and there would be to buy some time for your teammates to arrive. Your sacrifice would not go in vain.

Take out turrets first.
This should always be your first goal if the enemy team has any. Or you will lose precious time. Heroes that counter Torbjorn: Dva, Mei, Pharah and Reaper.

Bastion killing you?
SWITCH TO A HERO WHO CAN COUNTER such as Genji, Junkrat and Reaper. Fyi, his weak spot is a glowing blue cube behind him. Shoot it. Overall, it is recommended to know which Hero counters who in this game.

Look at the glowing cube!

Quick tips:

Roadhog's chain is longer than you think
I learn this the hard way. Everytime.

When you are in a open spot with Reinhardt be prepared- he will almost always make an attempt to pin you. So I would be against being in 1 v 1 face to face. When I play as Pharah I always make sure to be prepared to fly up.

Reinhardt's shield can completely block D.Va's ult and everything else minus Junk Rat's rip tire.
Also, if you happen to be Winston and D.Va uses her ult, throw your barrier over it and the blast would be confined within it.

Careful in open maps as Reinhardt. His dash is very suicidal. I would only suggest to use it if you're truly desperate.

Someone should always be Lucio on open maps. He can easily push them all off. Pharah also has this ability and Roadhog's ult.

Don't be a d*ck as Mei. Your damn ice wall can serve as an inconvenience for your teammates just as much as the enemies. Be smart about it.

Run in a frantic like manner when you hear; It's high noon and I've got you in my sights.
