Christmas Wish list For Nerds

Struggling with what to buy for your fellow beloved gamer? I have compiled a little wishlist that may be assistance. Gift shopping is stressful in general - I can only hope this will make it easier for you! As a fellow avid gamer, these gift ideas would definitely spark happiness.

Happy shopping!

Let's start with must-have games...

Halo Infinite  (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S)
Far Cry 6 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, Luna)
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and/or Pokémon Shining Pearl (Switch)
Mario Party Superstars (Switch)
Metroid Dread (Switch)
Scarlet Nexus (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X)
Resident Evil Village (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia)
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Life is Strange: True Colors (PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Stadia)
Forza Horizon 5 (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S)
Guardians of the Galaxy (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S)
It Takes Two (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S)

If they are a streamer...

If they are a streamer, an Elgato Stream Deck, is a definite must-have.

Yeti Mic

Blue Yeti mic is definitely a must-have for a streamer. I personally have one of these bad boys (perfect for working from home may I add) and the sound quality is superb. I have been using this frequently for a few years now (3 or 4, give or take) and honestly no real complaints here thus far. Here is an alternative. the Razer Siren X for $60, if $100 for the Blue Yeti is a bit too steep.

If they are a PC gamer...

Razor BlackWidow Elite

Razer Kraken Gaming Headset

High-quality headset that will not break your wallet, the Razer Seiren X.

If they game on a console...

Joy Cons

Controllers designed for the Switch. You can never have too many of these but boy their price tag is a bit absurd. They run about $70 so any Switch gamer would definitely appreciate this investment. Even if they do not game cooperatively, let us not forget the dreaded "Joy Con drift". With that being said, it is handy to have an extra pair on standby.

Xbox Design Lab

Instead of buying an Xbox controller, design your own! You can also get it engraved which makes it even more personal.

Microsoft Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller

If you can get your hands on the Halo Infinite ($200) version of the Elite controller then major kudos to you! They are selling out like hotcakes, but fear not if you are not able to acquire this gem, there are other versions of this controller like the classic Black (Retail price of $157.99) that gets the same job done.

If they are into apparel...

Luigi "L" Baseball Hat

Stay stylish in this fully adjustable baseball cap featuring Luigi!

Bulbasaur Overalls

One of my favorite pieces is the Bulbasaur Overalls and Water-Type Starter Dress.

Star Wars The Mandalorian "The Child" in Cradle Mini Backpack

How cute is this Baby Yoda backpack?! Coming in at $80, this backpack is a must-have for any fan of the Mandalorian. Loungefly is mainly known for its amazing unique backpack designs. Well known for their innovative licensed accessories–including Disney, Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Marvel, Star Wars and so much more. There are also many other accessories listed on the site!

If they are into collecting...

Nendoroid

Nendoroid is brand of figures created by the Japanese "Good Smile Company". They typically depict characters from anime, manga, or video games and they are designed with a large head and smaller body to give them a chibi appearance.

Funko Pops

There are so many Funko Pop!s of ALL kinds. You can find these guys, everyone, online and at most retailers. There are exclusive ones, which can make gift shopping a little more complicated and pricey, but there is definitely a Funko Pop! for everyone from any fandom you can think of.

If they are into beauty...

Lately, there has been a recent spike of popularity within Geek culture and these brands definitely noticed by acquiring some fun collabs:

Gift Cards

When it doubt, gift a Gift Card. Nothing wrong with a good gift card especially if you are unsure of their interests. From Amazon to GameStop, options are almost endless Make sure to at least have $65.00 on it to offset the average price of a game + tax. May I also recommend an UberEats card? Gamers gotta eat ;)

I can only hope this list provided some assistance during your gift shopping. Happy Holidays! :)
